Potassium Chloride has colorless or white crystals. It has a strong saline taste and occurs naturally as sylvite. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol.
Some uses for potassium chloride are as a lab reagent, in photography and spectroscopy and in buffer solutions. It gives a purple flame color.
