This VeeGee Model PDX-95 Portable Digital Refractometer performs at the highest level available in a portable digital design. It features dual scale measuring in an ultra wide range of 0.0 to 95.0% Bx (Brix) and 1.3330 to 1.5320 nD (refractive index). The extra-large, menu-driven LCD displays the current reading, prism temperature level (°C or °F), current scale, ATC setting, high-low limits, and battery level. The color-coded keypad sports large buttons and a water-resistant design, with seven buttons providing one-push operation for nearly every function.
PDX-95 Features...
- Ease of use: Operation consists of placing 1 to 2 drops of sample on the prism and pressing the 'READ' key; a reading is displayed within one second.
- Automatic: The LED light source detects the refractive index (nD) of the sample, the thermo-sensor detects current prism temperature, and the result is calculated and quickly displayed in the selected scale on the LCD readout.
- Calibration: With one push of the 'ZERO' key, calibrate with distilled water, eliminating the need for expensive oil standards.
- Durability: Rugged construction provides years of reliable use. The water resistant design allows it to be used in humid, harsh conditions. The stainless-steel sample well stands up to even corrosive samples.
- Portability: The compact size and battery power (9V) allows it to be used anywhere... in the field, plant, or lab.
- High/Low Limits: Users can set individual high and/or low limits to automatically monitor readings. Indicators will flash should the reading fall out of range.
