Transparent, colorless crystals. Occurs naturally in many plants (wood sorrell, rhubarb, spinach). Caution: Corrosive, may be fatal if swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, clothing.
Uses include general metal and equipment cleaner, leather tanning, and bleaching agent for textiles and woods. Rust remover in mineral crystal preparation.
