Why is the elevation important for your dial barometer?

Most dial type barometers employ an air pressure sensor with a limited range of sensitivity. Generally the working altitude range covers only about 3000 to 4000 feet. So be sure to choose a barometer that has a sensor range factory set for use at your elevation (e.g. a low elevation of 0-3000 ft., or a high elevation of 3000-7000 ft. or 7000 ft and above).

If you don't know the end users elevation...

Order the low elevation model and note in the message box of your order that you would like us to double check the elevation for the City and State you specify. We will then be sure to ship the barometer model with the appropriate low elevation or high elevation sensor range.
