The NexStar 127 SLT telescope is designed as a “next” or mid-level scope for viewing enthusiasts. The computer “Go-To” technology drives the telescope to any object in its 4000-plus object database and repositions the motor-driven mount to tract the selected object being observed.

The ergonomically designed hand control can be removed from its holder or left cradled for hands-free operation. With the touch of a button one can select an object from the object-catalog, change slew speed, select informative details about an object or learn if an object is visible in the sky. See details of the lunar surface, Venus and its phases, polar caps on Mars, Jupiter and its four moons, plus Saturn and its rings and much more.

This telescope is designed for visual-only applications and is not recommended for celestial photography. It can, however, be used as a land-based spotting scope and for terrestial photography.
