An alcohol burner is useful for flame sterilization of inoculating loops.
This lab burner has a glass reservoir with long wick and snap-on metal cap. The burner stands about 3-3/4 inches tall and maximum capacity of the reservoir is 150ml.
Designed to burn pure alcohols such as denatured ethyl (recommended) or methyl. This burner is shipped without fuel.
General safety notes: Use only alcohol or designated burner fuels. Alcohol flames tend to be invisible, increasing the likelihood of burns. Add some salt to the burner fuel to supply color (orange) to the flame. Never refill alcohol burners in the presence of open flames. Use in well ventilated area.
